Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister, Gebran Bassil, and the European Union’s Higher Representative for Foreign and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, initialed Monday a special protocol that allows Lebanon to participate in the 12 specialized programs for EU Member States in different fields.
The protocol was signed at the European Council’s headquarters at the end of the Lebanese-EU Association Council meeting, which was chaired on the European side by Mogherini, in presence of EU’s Expansion and Neighborhood Policy Commissioner, Johannes Hahn, and on the Lebanese side by Minister Bassil, in presence of Economy and Trade Minister, Alain Hakim.
World president Mr Alejandro Kuri Pheres, met with Minister Bassil at the lebanese embassy in Brussels to discuss the WLCU issue.Both attended the mass of St Maroun day and attended the dinner on that occasion, as well as the President of the Belgian national council of WLCU Dr Carlos Keirouz.
WP met with Mr Ahmad Nasser, proposing a common ground for the unification and also met with the members of the Belgian National Council before leaving to Paris to meet with the French National council of WLCU .
