WLCU WP Michel Doueihi mourned former WP Anwar Kuri – 22 October 2013-
WLCU WP Michel Doueihi mourned his predecessor, former WP Anwar Kuri who died days ago in his homeland Mexico, describing him as “The basic Support for the WLCU who fought for its principles till the last moment of his life.”
And he said: “WLCU former WP Anwar Kuri left this land, but did not leave Lebanon, which he loved so much. Lebanon was his main cause and he fought for it through chairing the WLCU which he was one of its main founders. He worked for the WLCU Goals till the last moment of his life. He defended Lebanon’s sovereignty and freedom in all occasions and he also defended the Lebanese Diaspora which is the irreplaceable value of Lebanon’s cedar and pride”.
He added: “In my name and the name of the WLCU World Council and in the name of every WLCU member and each loyal emigrant to our homeland, I extend my condolences to his wife and children, especially to his son Alejandro Kuri who is persisting with us in the WLCU like his beloved father, and to the former World Presidents who loved and respected him and considered him as a role model. I also
extend my condolences to the Lebanese people in the departure of this solid branch of our immortal cedar. And I assure that those who are struggling for Lebanon “the cause” like the late Anwar Kuri, the Lebanese won’t forgot them and they will remain in the record of its modern history…
God bless our former President Anwar Kuri and keep his achievements for the benefit of our beloved homeland Lebanon”.
