BIOGRAPHICAL SUMMARY: Dr. Nagi Souaiby, MD, MPH, MHM


Dr. Souaiby is a world-renouned medical doctor, emergency and forensic medicine specialist, and Senior Fellow of New Westminster College. He earned his M.D. in General Medicine in 1993 from the University of Montpellier I in France, Emergency Medicine Diploma from the University of Paris V in 1996, Disaster Medicine Diploma from the University of Paris V in 1997, Diploma for the Treatment of Burns from the Universities of Paris V and Paris VI in 1998, Diploma of of Criminalistics from the Universities of Paris V in 1999, Medical and Legal Practices Qualification (Capacité de Pratique Médico-judiciaire) from the Medical and Legal Institute at the University of Montpellier I in 2002, Diploma in Health Economy Sciences from the University of Paris VII in 2006, Master of Health Management in Hospital and Health Management from the University of Paris VII and ESA in Beirut in 2008, and a Master of Public Health in Management of Productive Units from the University of Paris VII in 2009.


Dr. Souaiby has a distinguished record of ethical leadership and presently serves as Chairman of the Emergency Department at Sacre Coeur Hospital in Baabda, Lebanon. His senior-level leadership experience includes:


– Chairman of the Emergency Department at the Sacre Coeur Hospital in Baabda, Lebanon


– GBV Consultant to the IMC (International Medical Corps) in Lebanon


– Founder and Director of the National School for Emergency Care, Accredited by the Ministry of Education


– Chief Editor of Med Emergency, the Mediterranean Journal of Emergency Medicine


– Expert to the European Union for Forensic Medicine Training


– Expert to the World Health Organization (Lebanon and EMRO) for Emergency and Disaster Management Training


– Official Medical Trainer of the Republican Guard Brigade at the Presidential Palace for the the Medical Protection of H.E the President of the Republic and VIPs


– National Adviser for SOS International (Dubai Regional Office)
