Dear WLCU team ,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing to you on behalf Mr. Philippe Aractingi, the Lebanese Film Director whose films were widely appraised and granted prizes all over the world.
I am sending this e-mail to explore the possibilities of screening “HERITAGES”, Philippe’s latest movie release .
The film that reveals a long journey of Philippe’s family with migration, exile, memory and identity represents a self mirror to every Lebanese or Arab individual living abroad. Due to the Universality of the themes treated, HERITAGES resonates with many people from all over the world.
Thus we succeeded with the full support of the ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, in organizing Lebanese/ and other Diaspora Screenings in London, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Montreal, San Francisco , North Carolina , New York ,
Madrid ( Festival de la francophonie) and we are heading in APRIL to Washington for the film festival and a private screening at MIT in BOSTON on April 24th.
The aims of such screenings are:
1- to share the film’s message with the Lebanese diaspora, friends of Lebanon and movie lovers and to support the Lebanese cinema.
2- Recoup part of the investment made to finance the film.
We are addressing you to seek further with your end possibilities of Screening HERITAGES in support to Washington , Boston and other countries. We want this film to be seen by the Lebanese diaspora all over the world, as it is an educational addition for generations to come.
