Australian Lebanese Associations lettre to WLCU in Novembre 2012
To:
Mr Eid Chedrawi, President of the WLCU
Dr Nick Kahwaji, World Secretary General
Mr Tony Kadissi, Secretary , Office of the WLCU Lebanon
27 November 2009
Dear Sirs,
We, the State Councils of the WLCU in Australia & New Zealand hereby wish to bring the following requests to your attention:
- We suggest the appointment of the World Vice President for Australia and New Zealand as Arbitrator for Australia and New Zealand in solving matters and issues of concern to the members, and this must be supported by the WLCU world body.
- We suggest that all communication first and foremost should be directed to WVP Michel Doueihi, before any decisions are made concerning Australia and New Zealand.
- We suggest the cancellation of all branches (chapters) in the GRC Australia and New Zealand. This responsibility to be given to the WVP as a neutral body to attend re establishing these new branches (chapters), so no future problems may arise.
- We also suggest that the current meeting to be held by the GRC in Melbourne on 29 November be cancelled or postponed as there will not be a proper and legal quorum in attendance. The GRC Vice President, Secretary General and Treasurer and Secretary have either resigned or are inactive.
Please be advised that the former World President of the WLCU, Joe Baini emanated from the State Council of the ALA of NSW as also did the former WVP Dani Geagea and our WVP Michel Doueihi. The first World President from Australia, Nick Abood, was also a member of the ALA of NSW and it’s Past President.
We hereby bring to your attention that in Australia the Australian Lebanese Associations were already established and became affiliated with the WLCU, thus becoming the official representative of the WLCU in Australia. Chapters comprise of Clubs and Associations and this has been the official representation since 1959.
Should you require any clarification or further information, please contact us on our enclosed email, in the meantime we look forward to your reply.
Thanking you in advance,
ALA of the AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY
ALA of NEW SOUTH WALES
ALA OF QUEENSLAND
