The Enduring Legacy of Kahlil Gibran
In May of 2012, the University of Maryland hosted the Second International
Conference on Kahlil Gibran, entitled “Reading Gibran in an Age of Globalization
and Conflict”. The conference focused on Gibran’s life and work, as well as his art
and artistic contributions, and was attended by Gibran scholars from twenty different
countries.
