g the legislative elections that took place in Brazil, Carlos Alberto Richa, the original Lebanese governor of the state of Paraná, was elected.
Carlos Alberto Richa, alias Beto Rha, was born on 2 July 1965 in Londrina-Paraná, the son of former Paraná governor Joseph Rich.
In 1994, he was elected a deputy and the same post was reelected in 1998.
In the year 2000, he was elected vice-mayor of Curitiba city Curitiba, capital of the state of Paraná-Parana and was reelected in 2003.
Elected in the year 2004 as President of the Municipality of Curitiba and was reelected as President of the municipality in 2008.
He visited his home country, Lebanon, at the helm of a delegation from Brazil, at the end of October 2009, during which President Michel Sleiman, Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, and Prime Minister Saad Eddin Hariri met. He also held several meetings with a number of Lebanese officials.
Neto has a good relationship with the association of Lebanese and Brazilian clubs and institutions and the Lebanese cultural University of the world in Brazil.
