Fifty anniversary Annual Members’ Day .
On Sunday June 21st, 2015, the Lebanese Canadian Society of BC, WLCU Vancouver Chapter, continued its traditional gathering by celebrating its annual Members’ Day Picnic at Belcarra Regional Park Picnic Area.
The day started out with delicious “Manaeesh bi zaatar” prepared on the saj! Chicken Tawook right off the BBQ, Makanek sandwiches, rice and salad were on the menu for lunch. Desserts included sfouf, nammoura, watermelon, and a couple cakes one of which to celebrate Father’s day for all the dads present.
There was the usual Backgammon and Tarnib tournaments.
Congratulations to Samir Badr and Edmond Khouri for their Tarnib win and
Dr. Antoine El Hage for winning the Backgammon tournament.
Several volunteers of the the Lebanese Youth of BC did an amazing job with organizing games and activities including volleyball, balloon toss, basketball, tug-o-war, facepainting and much more. It was great to see such joy, happiness and laughter on the faces of the young members. 
A special Thank You goes out to Mr.Tony Safi for providing the dough sheeter, Dr. Anis Karam owner of Karam’s garlic sauce who donated the garlic sauce for the event, as well as Mr Fadi Bou Dagher CEO of Hayda Libnan who donated promotional hats.
The event would not have been a success without the continued effort and hard work of the volunteers who assisted with every aspect of the day, especially the teamwork and hard work of the ladies who worked hard on the day and in preparation for the event.
With the relentless work of the current board of directors preparing for the day, and execution on the day, the event was a success.
