LIONS CLUB LEBANON Signs Memorandum of Understanding with LERC (Lebanese Emigration Research Center)

Lions Club Governor to Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq, Mr. Louis Abou Farah, accompanied by District Secretary, Mr. Claude Zacca; LERC Liaison Officer, Mr. Antoine Menassa of the WLCU France and President of the Emigrant Committee at Lions Club D351, and Mr. Mansour El Khoury of HALFA, met with LERC Director Dr. Guita Hourani, with the purpose of establishing a joint venture.
After a brief presentation of the LERC database, as well as a tour of the LERC Nucleus Museum, Mr. Abou Farah awarded Dr. Hourani a “Communication Certificate” as well as an official Communication, Lions Club pin.

The Memorandum of Understanding that is to be signed between LERC and Lions Club Lebanon will have two main focuses as discussed throughout the meeting. The first will be holding an international conference with the aim of uniting Lebanese Emigrants who are Lions Club members. The second will be the further development and upgrade of the LERC Nucleus Museum on Lebanese Migration at Notre Dame University-Louaize.
