Memorandum

Dear Lebanese around the world,

An inaugural conference on technology development in Lebanon, TECHLEB|06, is taking place at MIT on May 20-21 of 2006. The conference will be held under the patronage of the Lebanese Prime Ministry and a ministerial delegation is currently being assembled to attend and address the conference.

Preliminary results from TECHLEB|06 Planning Survey have been published in the aggregate here:http://www.techlebconference.com/survey/results.html – The Program Development Subcommittee is still processing and following-up on the 80+ recommendations for speakers, participants, and topics of interest contributed by respondents. There is already a stellar roster of speakers and participants lined up and engaged early on.

The attached TECHLEB|06 Sponsorship Package provides additional high-level information about the conference, expected attendee demographics, and detailed sponsorship opportunities that is  of prime interest to the WLCU.

Key decision makers in Lebanon want this to be a “turning point” in Lebanon’s economy and not just any event, and we’re working very hard to make it so, especially when it comes to involving non-Lebanese corporations, executives, and experts as well.

Looking forward to your earliest feedback. We strongly believe in the success of this event.

We ask you to inform any businessman around you who could be interested in this conference and let him contact any of :

Dr Nick Kahwaji, WLCU Deputy Secretary General on  [email protected]

or Mr Loai Naamani, Conference Planning Committee on[email protected]
